The hooks are hand-carved from bone by master lure maker and expert in ancient Hawaiian fishing traditions, Gary Eof in Kailua-Kona Hawaii as well as the necklace portion is hand lashed and secured in the traditional style. Nothing is machine made.

Each fish hook necklace is meticulously hand-crafted in the traditional Hawaiian-style, replicating fish hook designs and shapes used by the ancient Polynesian fishermen. If you notice, they look very similar to today’s hooks designs and for good reason. These shape catches fish and doesn’t let go!Hook sizes and styles of the fish hook necklaces vary from piece to piece, the bone thickness increases as physical size increases.
